going to a major was a mistake, but choosing RCA was an even bigger one.

gg right
this bitch was struggling to get a hit and they took her best chance for a hit (Joyride), gave it to rihanna and the song didn't even make the deluxe version of Anti. she chose Goodnight Gotham (an instrumental) over it. ssssssss

she's done. like, DONE done. and RCA is keeping that foot on her neck. she's stuck.

Pretend was an awful choice for the 2nd single, especially after 2 On. Pretend is like Ciara releasing And I after Goodies smashed. Like, who made that stupid ass decision. They shoulda just kept the momentum up with All Hands On Deck right after, and kinda hail her as the new dancing queen of uptempo cuts.

Every song she's put out since then I knew was gonna flop when it released. Only song I've heard her do that had some potential of doing something was Joyride with Travis. Coulda been an Urban smash at the very least.
i thought and I was like the last single

I kinda remember Ci comin in the game with a 123 PUNCH

This is cute... but very forgettable and basic. I was over it after 4 listens. It's like.... she's always in the right direction with the sound itself, but can just never just get it all the way fucking RIGHT. :uhh:

Honestly, Player >>> this

If that wasn't a hit for her, this mess surely won't be.

Besides All Hands (which should've been the 2nd single), the only other songs she had that could've been potential smashes were Joyride, How Many Times, and Other Faggots.

Shoulda phrased that better. Ciara kept the momentum going after Goodies by releasing 1 2 Step. RCA eeleasing Pretend wouldve been like if Ci's label released 'And I' as 2nd single instead of 1,2 Step. 'And I' woulda flopped.
