should have been the second single after wildest dreams was the first.
this fucking track my LAWD!! i love it sounds like essential BRANDY!!

:loose2when: :loose2when:
I agree. Brandy doesnt really choose great singles.....or her team doesnt. I think that's why monica has alot more R&B fans and people go up for her. She has alot more relatable singles that girls and the general public can fuck with. I still think Say You Will shouldve  been released from Afro. That wouldbe been a HUGE  R&B hit imo. Brandy needed to feed that section of her fanbase a bit more

I agree, she didn't make the transition well single wise from when rnb was "pop" to when it was a boutique genre in which you had to conquer your own format to crossover again.... afro was the start of that to me... her singles to me weren't chosen well !!
Although I loved wis2u, idgaf what ANYONE says. Also, they shouldnt have stopped at 2 singles and they didnt need to release that trash ass title track

Wtf was it? Laziness?! Like I don?t understand

:hmph:

Maybe they werent trying to invest more money or her budget was used up, but iono why they stopped at 2 and ruined that era. And then to squeeze out a bit more money for a damn AFRODISIAC video :uhh:

Its a hidden gem. Its the kind of song that you just automatically skip over cuz it just seems like a fucking SNOOZE. But then one day you just let it play out and its like WAIT A GODDAM MINUTE. :uhh: :uhh: :uhh:

That REVERSE harmony towards the end before the a capella >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Definitely one of my favs from the album.
TREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :stressed:

When I tell you I had 2/11 playing in the back as I clean my room one day and when this MESS came on I?m like hold the FUCK on

:gorlonfire:

Nine

This song has held up really well compared to the other songs on 2/11.

Still sounds fresh. This and Slower.

Do You Know was the clear choice for the 2nd single and probably could have even been bigger than PID. Of ALL the wrong single choices Ghan n her team has made, this was the worst one for me. It was so clear.....

Human was doomed regardless, Afrodisiac would've been chancy either way.... it just wasn't a radio friendly album.

I Thought could've been a pop SMAAAAASH; probably similar success to What About Us. But.... When You Touch Me would've been a massive hit for her, like a Usher's Burn. I remember 102 Jamz Orlando used to play it every hour on the HOUR building up to the album release. They played it more than the singles!! It would've been HUGE.  :plzstop: :plzstop:

ALL of THIS!!!

This was supposed to really be her major comeback to the general public. When Human dropped so many people didn?t even know she had released new music. This era had the look and sound to match. They really fucked up choosing wildest dreams as the second single. Is it single worthy? Yes but maybe 3rd If 4th. Do You Know should have been the second single from the jump. The sound was so in and Mike Will was the IT producer at the moment. I?m fuming all over again

Do You Know reminds me of modern Put That On Everything, which was my favorite track on NSN during that era and age at that time. They both just instantly take me into outer space the second they start playing. :dead: Not many songs had/have that impact on me. DYK definitely gives me NSN vibes too.

But ultimately, Learn The Hard Way >>> PTOE

The transition into ADC itself takes me the fuck OUT every time. Her best production.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOOOOOOOO other R&B girl/GORL was on that Mike Will wave yet. I dont even think Pour It Up was even out yet. Just a wasted hit.....

Wildest would've been a cute single 4 or 5 mess out. It just doesnt capture the essence and direction of the era. So Sick would've been a great 3rd single. Urban radio would've LIVED. Or Slower with a remix mess out with August Alsina or whoever was cute back then. It could've given a cute Sevyn "It Wont Stop" on the radio and charts.
