KING BENTLEY.

fcking FAGGOT!

QuoteTimberlake received backlash from Prince fans amid his Paisley Park performance.
Justin Timberlake is gearing up for his Super Bowl halftime performance and the release of his latest album Man of the Woods, which stirred up polarizing views when the album?s trailer dropped earlier this month. There?s also been controversy regarding Timberlake?s album release and listening party at Paisley Park, the late Prince?s famous Minneapolis estate.

When the event was revealed earlier this month, Prince fans angrily pointed out on Twitter that Timberlake previously dissed Prince on Timbaland?s 2007 track ?Give It To Me,? which also featured Nelly Furtado. On the song, JT sang:

"We missed you on the charts last week
Damn, that?s right you wasn?t there
Now if se-sexy never left, then why is everybody on my shi-i-it?
Don?t hate on me just because you didn?t come up with it"

The lyrics reference Timberlake?s 2006 single ?SexyBack,? which topped the charts despite initially receiving negative marks from critics. However, it?s also a reference to Prince, who poked fun at ?SexyBack? during a performance at a post-Emmy Awards party in 2006. Prince reportedly said, ?For whoever is claiming they are bringing sexy back, sexy never left!"

The following January 2007, Timberlake presented the award for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes. Prince won the award for ?Song of the Heart" from the animated film Happy Feet, but didn?t make it to the ceremony because he was reportedly stuck in traffic. When Timberlake accepted the award on his behalf, he mocked Prince?s 5'2 height.

Although this all occurred over a decade ago, some Prince fans didn?t forget and recounted the events on Twitter, as pointed out by Variety.

Other fans were upset that alcohol would be served at JT?s Paisley Park event. They felt it was disrespectful to Prince?s estate and legacy since he was a noted Jehovah Witness who abstained from drinking alcohol.

Billboard reported that Timberlake was asked about Prince and the listening party at the official Pepsi Halftime Show press conference, where he called Paisley Park a sacred place. But he was not asked about the fan backlash nor his old lyrics about Prince.

Especially since Prince was not here for the idea of a hologram. He saw it as demonic.

Ten years ago, the late Prince did an interview with Guitar World where he discussed the inevitable invention of holograms. Apparently, he was not down for the whole concept of virtual reality and found it disturbing.

"That's the most demonic thing imaginable. Everything is as it is, and it should be. If I was meant to jam with Duke Ellington, we would have lived in the same age. That whole virtual reality thing... it really is demonic. And I am not a demon," he said. "Also, what they did with that Beatles song ["Free As a Bird"], manipulating John Lennon's voice to have him singing from across the grave... that'll never happen to me. To prevent that kind of thing from happening is another reason why I want artistic control."

Despite this opposition, Justin Timberlake and his team seem to be moving forward with including a hologram of Prince in his performance for the Super Bowl halftime show since the game is taking place in the late star's hometown. However, it's pretty clear that Prince would have found the whole display to be disrespectful to his legacy. Prince's former drummer Sheila Escovedo tweeted that he personally told her "don?t ever let anyone do a hologram of me."

A few months ago, his sister, Tyka Nelson spoke with iNews about how she was considering reviving him in the form of a hologram for a series of shows.

"Holograms have previously been used to bring stars such as Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur back to life for concert performances," she said. "The technology required to create a 3D illusion is expected to become more widely employed as mortality claims an increasing number of rock and pop legends."

Prince definitely isn't sending his blessing from the grave. Read the entire interview here.

He is just sooooooo tacky when it comes to things like this. He has no real respect for the legends because he sees himself as one of them and of course....he's white.
