Maybe we can all cancel for a month to make the statement mess
No. I'm not boycotting Netflix for some bitch like Monique. Fuck her. She burned her own bridges and now she has to deal with the consequences. Her whole victim mentality is unjustified when Will Packer stated that her comments on the Breakfast Club were slanderous. But keep believing her, she may have someone like you fooled by the moon. But she isn't fooling me. I see right through her shit. Her husband isn't good for her career or her image.

I don't get the "Well how much are they getting paid" argument when it comes to Blacks on Netflix.

Maybe they're getting paid what they're worth , like Dave and Chris Rock were.

this is specifically a BLACK FEMALE issue... .... it goes something like this as far as pay

White male
Black male
White female
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Black female
Let's get specific

Do you think the only thing that separates Mo'nique from Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle is her gender?

I'd like to see if you can simply give me a "yes" or "no" for that question.

Yes sis
So you'd say they have the same track record, same ticket sales, same career. Only thing different here is gender.

Let me clarify :

By saying she being treated this way because of her gender I mean just that.

Not saying she should get the same amount as the two male acts based off resume. I don?t think she is worth that tbh. No shade.

But the way she was handed a contract worth 1/26 of the next lowest paid act is a bit CRAZ?

And I believe being a black female is one of the reason why she got offered that amount .

Right.

Dorian, this is Mo'nique's argument.

That she IS the same as Dave Chapelle or Chris Rock

That she is not only their equal, but is the MOST decorated in the business, etc.

This is where I find fault in her argument. You're not on their level. Stop it.

And vonc, even you said Netflix coulda pony'd up a 750k mess, so what are you even doin here
Quote from: Vonc2002 on January 31, 2018, 06:06:51 PM
Monique don't deserve more than 500k imo. Maybe 750
The very first statement there is Monique doesn't deserve more than 500k. BYE! :dead:
and then the final statement opens convo about 750k

Which 1 is it

Which 1
The one where I clearly stated that she didn't deserve more than 500k :dead:
but you clearly said maybe 750k

You can't make up your mind

You're scrambling

And it's ok

Like I said her being blackballed is most definitely a factor? (some just don?t care to dissect into the reasons WHY however)

But Her being a black female is the MAIN factor because it?s all intertwined as to why she is where she is now and was offered what she was offered.
U should look into the other deals Netflix has signed with numerous women of color before u arbitrarily follow along. If you're gonna stand with someone do ur research and know what ur standing for and who ur standing against.   Because Netflix didn't offer someone who is infamously difficult and less than relevant what SHE feels like she's worth let's disregard every other deal, every other show, etc. It's nonsense and u sound a fool :dead:

Bbb

do your research!

please list them
Shonda Rhimes
Ava Duvernay
Lena Waithe
Look em up, idiot

Now post the much longer list of highly payed [insert any race+gender combo other than black+ females] with Netflix deals

And I didn't know Monique was a director

This is about comedians

Thanks

That ratio gon be mighty uneven. When it comes to what we're talking about, it's nothing but facts black women are at the bottom of the paid totem pole
