Nothing about the skin tone thing is really factual because you can put one person in front of two people and get two different responses.
"She brown skin!"
"No she not! Are you blind bitch?! She like..light skin on the EDGE of being brown skin with a red undertone and a hint of frap".
So I usually let people identify how they choose to.
And let people see what they see. No need to correct someone because it's so highly subjective.
