You must have not watched the original.  Roseanne was super liberal and feminist.  IDGAF what she says; it doesn't make sense for the character to support Trump.

The Conners were blue-collar, but not really rednecks.

it's written in a great way though. it's the reason Jackie is dragging her, and who knows ..  she may have a change of heart on the show.
