There is no "natural self", we all change according to our environment, you act different with each and every single person and every single day. I don't think you innately have a "feminine" soul or personality. We move within our social confines.

So there's no such thing as feminine and masculine?  I disagree we all have one that is innately us subconsciously . have you ever had someone ask if you're gay or be curious about your sexual orientation because they thought you acted a little "different." If yes, I bet they did so because you were feminine acting... sadly.

Never had that experience, so I cannot relate.
It is also stupid to connect feminity with homosexuality, frankly.

And I don't disagree with that, Miranda.

You never had someone question you about your sexuality then you must be straight passing...
My point is just because you're naturally fem doesn't mean you have to put on a pair of heels and a dress or want to be Beyonce. See subconsciously for a lot of gays sexuality is attached to gender.

what do you do for a living, dyke?

Marketing and advertising. I am largely responsible for the advertisements and programming you see.

Are you saying gay men deep down want to be women? I don't really follow.

What society connects with being feminine, happen to be the more "easy way out" features. I can see why somebody who is faced with so much social scrutiny anyways is not that concerned about their social standing or any other socio-cultual stigmata for that matter and just has fun with it. It is liberating to act "feminine", because so much pressure is off your shoulder to be strong. And black man especially are often expected to be extra-strong, extra-rough etc. That can get tiring and also mentally restrictive.

I don't think they want to be women perse but I feel like a lot of the younger men growing up feels like to be gay is to act ultra feminine. You can still be feminine and or masculine and be gay. I feel like a lot of them don't know that though.

Do I think today's gay men PLAY up the femininity, yes. That is wha tI am saying.  Whether or not it is someone's business was never a question... it was just a simple yes or no.
