It might sound weird but keep shaving your face ( I use clippers to avoid breakout) even if there appears to not be much hair. When you cut hair it reacts by growing back quicker and thicker. Most guys dont grow full beards because they keep holding on to the new hairs. Grow it as much as you can, shave, and repeat.
I've heard experts say it's a myth... idk
