Kim must have been borrowing a shit load of money against her home , and constantly refinancing or something
That's the only reason I can think of that she could be in that house for so many years and NOT be able to quickly sell it before she hit the wall with getting behind on mortgage payments .
She had to be accruing equity but if you're chipping away at your equity with refinancing and using your equity to borrow money... that's when you could find yourself with no money to gain if you sell the home (no matter how much it's worth) cuz you have no equity. I think that's what happened .
It's the only logical explanation considering how long she lived there .
