A contingency fee is an agreement that the lawyer gets paid (or doesn't get paid) on a contingency.

Whether she actually has a valid "CASE" or not is not in question. She clearly doesn't. Lot's of quack lawyers take on entertainment cases for a quick and fast settlement for MUCH lower than the initial ask, because no corporation wants the bad press.
