If you dont watch the show then RESPECTFULLY u really shouldn't be in here commenting about this girl's treatment ON THE SHOW! Shamea while SEEMINGLY sweet is a smidge unlikable. She COMPLETELY lacks accountability,  she's ALWAYS the victim, she's corny asf, etc.  I just think the audience DOESN'T LIKE SHAMEA, DASSIT! I didnt hear her yelling colorism when her season started last year and people were cheering her on for having money and seeming like she was gonna be THE GIRL on the show. That personality started shining thru, she started doing fuck shit,and opinions change. Shamea's story isn't OGs and this aint Potomac. The same franchise where dark ass Kenya is one of the front runners and MOST of the girls have been dark skinned but now they colorist cause we dont like corny ass shamea. I hate when black people jump to this kinda shit to explain away some shit. Thats my piece and I'm not responding anymore to foolishness. Colorism!

it really rubbed me the wrong way.

yes Kenya's the same complexion but she's a "dark girl with good/long hair". and a lot of times those types of women get thrown into the "exotical" bin too. so it's kinda the same but it's not. if we're really gonna dive into nuances and have real talk.

i believe that Shamea's feelings are valid cuz I've seen her experience what I felt could be colorism on AND off the show.

and of course i love GODya but i call a spade a spade.

and two things can be true at the same time

maybe she's just not the most likable person. i don't watch the show enough to make a call on that personally but it's 100% possible.
AND i have seen her experience instances of what i felt was colorism and believe she has felt it.

sometimes when people don't think someone "deserves" to be a "bitch", they will "humble" them by reminding them of their "place".

and at the same time, im sure there are people who just don't like her and it has absolutely nothing to do with her skin color/race. i 100% believe that.

Meanwhile, DEVILyn did the same + physically attacked other cast members but was still embraced within the group.

og isolated herself by acted an ass on multiple occasions. and when she started receiving treatment based on her energy, she turned around and yelled colorism.

and the evelyn comparison is so intellectually dishonest. no, they're not going to treat a woman they've known for years the same as a woman they just met last week. who would?

and why did jennifer never experience this colorism?

too many women actually dealing wit colorism for girls to be using it as a tool in their victim narrative
