We give celebrities or anyone "famous" on social media too much of our damn energy and power. You're wishing some stranger the best, posting pics of their kids instead of the ones in your family, trying to become more like them, giving them your energy and time when that could all be focused on you & your loved ones instead. It's scary sometimes.
wow. What an interesting thought.

It's unconditional, these days you know....

Black people are fuckin idiots for allowing folks to use our culture so much without compensating us. The way we generally get hype when some white person pops up giving a kind word about oppression or doing one of our dances on beat-- its disgusting.

Oh she can come to the cookout! Bitch why? Cause they treated you like a damn human being for the first time, you sad thing?!
:omf:

Nothing annoys me MORE with men, than those men who act so "anti-gay" or hyper masculine.
I get sooooo sick of seeing IG/FB comments like "that suspect bro.." "hell nah..thats gay" "no homo" etc..

Like what year is it? Are you okay? :uhh:

And it baffles me when they comment on shit they really should be paying if they're truly "str8" .
The Game's thirst traps photos for example stay lit up with comments from other men. Or Tekashi's recent dance video I posted. You putting energy into a comment just to say something seems gay/weird/suspect to you? I just don't get it. It annoys tf outta me. The psyche of so many men in America are completely RUINED and brainwashed.

On the flip side I LOOOOVE a man who is super comfortable with himself and is completely unfazed by those kinds of things. Its actually a turn on to me. dddd
Most of my guy friends are straight.

This.

I also don't like when straight niggas or "masc" gay niggas call me "bro" too much . Kinda makes me feel like the only way we can have a connection that makes you and the Blk community comfortable is by saying there's some familial tie between us. Like you could never have just a friend or best friend that's just gay. Idk.

Kalifornia.

Fuck it, I'm tired of some women and their selective equality. They want all the benefits of being a male without the responsibility.

I hear so many of them talking about "A man should do this...A man should do that", especially at my job. However if a man says what a woman should be doing then all hell breaks loose. A prime example is when the rumor started about women being drafted for the military. They started hoopin & hollerin about how it was wrong, and that females shouldn't be forced to do that.

Be the first ones demanding equal this & that, but the minute a spider crawls across their desk they become completely helpless.

Like, naw sis. If you want true equality then have at it.

Interesting. I think, in some cases, anyone with a semblance of fame is propped because those without it look up to those people as goals. Famous people only post about the good times and since they have a certain amount of money their life looks so much more glamorous then what it truly is.

Meanwhile family is probably hitting you up asking for money for the light bill or to take you to see their PO or some other shit. While not entirely true in all cases I think it?s just people see others on that pedestal and want the same thing for themselves.

I can see your perspective. I definitely think people see fame as a catalyst for real happiness, which isn't true.  I'd argue that there still is a huge amount of our own personal power that we relinquish to celebrities though. Social media is pretty much synonymous with "faking it to you make it". Celebrities aren't the only ones who are posting living my best life everyday!, SM tells us we all should be doing that to some extent.

The praising, the focusing, the modeling, the financial investments, the arguing with strangers constantly, the constant affirming, the false sense of intimacy when fans feel they know celebs and what they do or don't deserve etc--all energy that can be used to discover and sustain your own happiness imo. Happiness without striving  to becoming IG famous, celebrity like, or engaging on SM in general (jumping back to your initial point).

WHEW! I completely agree.

Honestly, a lot of women are hypocritical as fuck.

And that's why feminism and this quest for equality is never happening.

yummy

Trump is definitely getting a second term and the spineless neoliberals who spend too much time focusing on celebs and their empty ?woke? gestures, who he cheated on his wife with and regurgitating the same tired ass talking points are to blame.
