I don?t believe drugs, cigarettes or alcohol ruined Whitney?s voice. Although when you have any addiction, it?s hard for you to function normally and do anything. Whitney?s voice gave out after singing soooo much over the years. She was singing like 8 hours a day many times since about the age of 15. Not everyone's voice is as resilient as Celine or Patti and cal last that long under strenuous constant singing. Eventually her vocals gave out. It?s was the drugs and stuff too but that?s my theory.
