Am I the only one who slightly cringes sometimes at the sight of a black women with a blond wig? To me it's like imitating a white womuh, since clearly African Americans do not grow blond hair.

I think a lot black women just like experimenting with different hair colors and styles. Doesn't mean they want to look white.  :uhh:

I do think however certain ones want to look non-black tho. Like Lil Kim and Tamar.

I think someone made a point yesterday of why we always associate an exceptionally beautiful black woman with other ethnicities... e.g. Pocohontas realness, Blasian beauty, etc. (without even having any proof that these women are descendants of these people or not). . That person jumped down the gorls' throats.....
But I think a lot of it has to do with these weaves and wigs they choose to wear.

On the Toni cover I posted, she she has long, jet black straight weave, and what appears to be a tribal choker/necklace.  Then the outfit itself...the short natural looking skirt. It's definitely giving a Native tea, especially the way her skin is perfectly bronzed. If our women wore their natural tresses, would we be making these comparisons? I don't think so.

Keri looks good with blonde, but the black is so much better
