But I've never been a huge fan of the glamorization of gang violence, drugs, hypersexuality and criminality through hip hop.
And I tend to speak on it regardless of who it's coming from.

Only because some people are able to separate fantasy/celeb world from reality and enjoy the experience for what it is (entertainment), but others aren't - especially younger people.

So don't pay me any mind. Ultimately this is just another moment in hip-hop. Cardi isn't to be pinned to the cross for what is expected of her. She's just "keeping it real" and "gangsta", etc.

Getting in trouble with the law is fun. Sexy, even. Let's send that message out to kids in the hood.

I do feel like she can?t escape these unfortunate circumstances but she should use her platform to discourage this behavior. She?s always been so encouraging/positive in the past so it?s just not a good look to tiptoe out of the courts with a smirk on her face. Perfect example is when she talks about her past as a stripper and the way she?s able to explain that?s what she had to do at the time but wouldn?t want that to be the route for girls to take.
