The sophomore mess will really give the tea.

Her debut didn't outsell Nicki's first week by a long shot (with equivalents included). And by long I'm talking like 100K missing. I'm interested to see what's in store for the second tea.

We'll see. But this performance was the tea.

Now sis we can?t compare sales

Almost a decade apart

And the setup was totally different tbh
Yeah we can compare sales - that's where equivalents come into play.
An unfair comparison would be not including Cardi's STREAMING equivalents - which are a huge factor in 2018.

There are rap artists still hitting those numbers that Nicki hit for her first week debut so it is completely possible.

Even with streaming though things aren?t quite the same tho sis.
Although I get what you?re saying, sales aren?t the way they use to be , even with streaming .

Hun nothing you?re saying is fact
So Missy and Lil Mama weren't the only rappers in between 03 and 09 to get hit records? vccvc; you don't know what a fact is lovebug :plzstop:

You can't be the Queen of rap if you can't rap. These payola hits have you gorls LOSING it

Hun you conveniently left out the slew of rap girls that flew in around that time trying to climb their way to the top

I mean there was a few girls who stayed around and somewhat consistent

Of course Missy
Trina
Eve
Lil Kim
Remy Ma
Lil MaMa

I mean ; Nicki kinda flew up to the top and stayed there for a long time yes
that's my point

All these gorls had hits here and there. NO ONE made being a female rapper a brand like Nicki did, in the midst of everyone doubting females in hip hop as a whole.

Cardi got into the game when female rap was already hot and blazing. To call her the title that Nicki rightfully earned after 1 year of payola and manipulation is ridiculous.

Nicki is the Queen of rapping and rap. :kii: :kii: :kii: These are FAX

queen of rap?
hell no.
is she in very high demand at the moment?
yes.
is she killing it?
yes.
but she's gonna have to learn to at-least rap and gain a few platinum albums as well as dominate for at-least 5yrs.

Sssssss

Hun you?re fuming .

You can reminisce and praise all you want but Cardi is on top right now.

Yes Nicki had the crown, was one of the first REAL HUGE female rap stars.
Yes she held it for a long time.

But Cardi has officially punched in at the top spot.
Nicki is still slaying tho

And besides, Lil Shim nor Missy hit the debut album first week numbers that Nicki hit.

So the "back in the day things were different" type of argument really wouldn't apply, as she came after them.

Both for the most part were very urban female rappers.

You?d be kidding to think that Nicki?s pop songs and features aren?t what helped her pull those numbers. She maneuvered extremely wisely.

She slayed.
I?d almost bet if she did what she did then back in ?04 or even ?01

She would have had ?Confessions? equivalent numbers or damn near close (700k + easy)

I think what's most shocking here is how so many of y'all faves fell all the way off, were replaced, and then played out of their position in favor of whichever new bitch who was deemed most fuckable by a group of nonsensical men. Misogyny is gross

Missy was a "very urban" female rapper?

Or a ho that said silly mess over fun Timbo beats?

Let's not get confused.

Missy May Be out of the box and May have crossed over but let?s not pretend like Missy was singing some bubble gum pop mess like Nicki. Which happen to be her BIGGEST hits

Let?s be realistic here

Cade

so basically cardi is the new queen of rap is what you guys are saying  :ohwow:
