Eh...at this point I rather her make safe music and SING than to have her out her turning off her main core trying to "be too creative" and follow trends.

One thing that I KNOW...FOR SURE...she won't be stuck out here looking a fool like Amerie trying to "be creative".
It be comments like this that make me think all Monica fans are basic af :dead:

Nah, not basic. I just actually FULLY pay attention to the moves sis makes rather where I want her to be...or take one comment she makes, start daydreaming fantasies, then get let down when the fantasies don't come true. I expect sis to try new things like she did last time but the core of her album when be what's authentic to her as it always been.

Also, I do want her to "be creative". I think I just don't trust yall's definitions of creative, fresh, young, and current. Especially, young and current.

Have you heard Usher's new EP?

it's TERRIBLE :uhh:

:udontlookok:

Young...yes, I heard it....but I know you ain't suggesting................NOPE! The only thing that would be acceptable from her from that is a "Say What You Want" and maybe a "You Decide". And even still, the bulk of her project can't be that.

I wasn't saying Mimic those sounds at all.
But try different sounds and producers.

But yeah Say What You Want is AMAZING

I personally love the EP tho

I don't even doubt that Mon has recorded "Current" or "Creative" material. Her true problem is her comfort level and maybe even confidence in not looking a try hard fool if she released it.

!!!!!!!!!

She chose to keep hit boy tracks in the vault but released songs like amazing and take a dump

:uhh:

Take A Chance slays faggot

!!!

Like Brans was saying; she had a FIRE ass track with hit Boy

I'm Good is STILL one of the best songs shes done in a LONG time. Never saw the light of day.
its mess like that that gets me.

That's why this era is really gonna determine a lot for me. Because I blamed RCA for keeping her in an even smaller box.

Kalifornia.

Dorian, remember when you said you heard a duet between Bey & Mons? :dead:

Scott.

:kii:

But we tried to tell you it was her. She?s the one who chose to work with the same damn people.

Talking about a fresh new sound when she was recording ?New Life? but the finished product was SS part 2 but worse

Young

This confidence and versatility she's been giving on IG for 2 years now needs to be translated into the music. FLAT OWT

If the music is gonna be stale she might as well go back to her Deaconess outfits.

That happened. It was real.
Heard it with my own ears.

Back around '01 Summertime

It was called her Love. It was Magical

sddddddddddddddddddddddddd

In her defense then she did get with Rico for the first time
and he even laced her with some "Motivation" sounding songs and a reggae mess

The problem was the entire project was MEH material wise. And very ballad heavy.

The party city costumes. The rainbows fashions, the Sally supply wigs and the tragic ass music to go with it.
