I don't FEEL it that much, because I'm in it, and I travel the subway system everyday.

The only time I realize how grundy NYC can look is when I travel for a while and return.



But then it's back to normal within two days.

The thing about NYC is...

One block can be the difference between two worlds.


You'd have 'brownstones' on one block... and the projects on the next block, and the people would never intersect.  Craziest thing.
