Monica can thrive off of strong and smart hooks and classic melodies. She needs a cohesive album that?ll garner creative interest.

It?s evident though that there seems to be a void when it comes to having a musical ear especially within these recent years. "Code Red" was all over the place. "Ocean of Tears" is a fire ass record. More of that wouldn?t have hurt. And why would her team allow the title track to make the final track listing? :uhh: I trust that her collaboration with PJ will help expound. He is artistic excellence. I?m curious as to how she?ll perform vocally next to him too. He?s a master at his craft.

Not too much on Code Red tho? the title track was quirky and fun

But everything you?re saying I agree

Something really changed in her ear and way of singing .

But I?m also EXTREMELY excited to see what PJ can do

Simplicity can really work for Monica at this point. "Until It?s Gone" is a fine example of that. Just those sweet R&B melodies is what she needs. Strong hooks and strong lyrical content. I hear Monica all over this.

GLOCK

Monica doesn?t realize how successful she could be
She?s one of the few 90s girls who actually still has mainstream R&B appeal
Like Mary..
But she just doesn?t have it and she makes terrible music
She would benefit by latching herself to the new generation of R&B and having them create for her
And ultimately singing in alto
That?s it
But just like ci.. she?s too arrogant to step away and listen
