Why do you keep referring to Soundscan only , as if I didn't give more than one option? lol

When RIAA starts tallying or tracking sales be sure to let us know hun.

Afro bro...
Not discrediting Billboard :dead:
I can see if it was a regular like Vibe or Shaderoom or other just NEWS source
but Billboard?

fjjjjffff

And calling Billboard a "third party source" but trying to prove Queen is platinum by posting screenshots from random people on Twitter.

:omf:

This argument is going in circles
guys Afro doesn?t accept Billboard articles which cite Soundscan as a source
as proof of sales numbers because he doesn?t want to

and RIAA to a certain extent does track sales because
digital downloads and streams can not be shipped
and they have awarded plaques to albums based purely on downloads

It's that simple.

If they do not have what I deem to be acceptable in this conversation, that's fine.

That article written years ago by another website is not acceptable proof to me today - here and now.
That may not be the same for some. And that's OK.

It's simply a matter of preference.

I just asked for a couple links :stressed:
bro come on though. this ?another website? mess is nonsense
Billboard is 100% factual with their reports from Soundscan
There?s never been a discussion that Billboard posted incorrect numbers
Come on man

I made it very clear

That you have no idea what you're talking about.

Requesting sales from RIAA when they don't post sales
Asking for Soundscan links when everyone knows they don't post that information publicly

And then there are posts of you all up and down Bsource talking about Nicki's single and album SALES citing BILLBOARD as the source which completely contradicts all your "third party sources" posts and debunks this random theory that you can only verify sales info using RIAA or Soundscan links directly.

If the article were at least recent MAYBE I'd take take into consideration. MAYBE.

But it is:
a) not recent (years old)
and
b) not directly from RIAA or Soundscan.

Even if the article were right, how do we know that stands true in 2018? We're going off of very outdated information in a discussion regarding currently active artists - one of whom have just snagged eligibility for another platinum certification.

I'm sorry - it is inadmissible in my court.

um it?s about a total of album sales
the only way the numbers would be different is that they are very slightly higher now and I?m sure if prompted Billboard would report the updated numbers now.
It?s not like the number could decrease in 2018
Come on son

'ology

Even though things are more digital it still doesn't matter an album or single can still be certified without achieving the gold, platinum, or diamond thresholds.
Ex Nicki Minaj "Queen" 700,000+ sales(sps)
Certified platinum
Like everyone has been saying
Soundscan tracks every sale/stream
RIAA doesn't not do the same hence Queen being over certified

If you want a lank go to @chartdata on Twitter then their website and read their FAQ their numbers are from soundscan.

Blessed Be The Mufuckin Fruit!!!
