There is favoritism everywhere. Bosses are "supposed" to be impartial with their employees, but if anyone who thinks that is the reality must live in DisneyLand.

Sometimes the favoritism works in your favor and sometimes it doesn't. Those who benefit from it will rarely complain, those who don't probably will. Or those who feel a need to speak up for those who seem to get the shorter end of the stick will speak up and risk being placed in the bottom of the barrel themselves for daring to do so.
