Dug up on some tea.

It didn't make sense to me that they'd make such a move if MOST of their tea was adult content-related.

QuoteThe top 10 Tumblr tags are: LOL, Fashion, Vintage, Art, GIF, Makeup, Animals, Landscape, Film and Nail Art.

QuoteOnly 2 ? 4 percent of content on Tumblr is adult related.

If porn was their most popular mess, it'd make more sense to turn it into a porn site.
Banning adult content won't hit them very hard from what I'm seeing.
It's just that a lot of people here fall into that 2-4%. But you gotta remember this is also a site with a "boochie and gavoochie" thread that is popping. sfsfsf

I don't know why the gors keep ignoring these statistics.  :damselindistress:

Tumblr is filled with art, fan fictions and all that nerdy stuff. I mean, if you only follow porn blogs, you'll see 100% pornographic content on your dash. :udontlookok: But after you busted that nut and close the tab, the other gorls will still be online discussing Harry Potter and shit. :sevynstreeter:

tags!

This year alone they started making adult tags untraceable. You'd search ass cheeks or dildos and nothing would come up. If you didn't avidly post on tumblr, you wouldn't know how evensfw  blogs would randomly reblog cutler x tearing into a bitchmade twink. They're going to be effected in a negative way.

QuoteThis is an issue that greatly impacts Tumblr, given that its blogging network is actually composed of a lot of porn. In fact, according to website analytics service SimilarWeb, ?adult? content is the top category that drives direct clicks to Tumblr?s desktop site, accounting for 20.53% of clicks, compared with the next-largest referring category, ?books and literature,? which drove just 7.61% of clicks.

Le sigh

So like we said, this is the end of Tumblr

LOONA.

You posted something about popular tags from 2014 that's irrelevant to NSFW blogs

The point is people go to Tumblr for porn more than any other category (sports, music, film, books etc)

Rather than get rid of child porn and pornbots they ban it all.  :dead: :uhh:

Quoteone of the rare studies which looked into Tumblr's inner workings. The same study also revealed that around a fifth (22 percent) of the site's web traffic came from adult sites, and landed on pornographic posts.

While the stats are almost certain out of date, it's without a doubt that Tumblr is killing a large chunk of its web traffic through today's decision,

QuoteIn a Catastrophically Bad Move, Tumblr Will Ban All Adult Content

Rather than invest in the employees, tools, and site infrastructure it would take to really take on their child pornography problem, Tumblr is burning itself down. [Full disclosure: I used to work at Tumblr in the Trust & Safety department, the very team tasked with cleaning up the worst of the explicit material uploaded to the platform.

https://www.themarysue.com/tumblr-will-ban-all-adult-content/

Anybody that knows what Tumblr is or uses it regularly knows this is a terrible idea, including people who worked in the very department responsible for removing explicit content.

Not about to argue something that's common sense, especially to someone who obviously doesn't use Tumblr dfdfg
