they were just playing a song from the DC Xmas disc. Everything & the background vocalists did a lil sumn too

But, I DO think Bey can still sing like that, I think she just chooses not to for whatever reason. Because it still comes out sometimes. That recent Halo performance at the Gala, the Resentment performances etc. For the life of me I can't understand why she chooses to sing so hard now. Honestly, I never heard anyone question her singing until she switched it up. Because people used to praise her voice back in the day.

All the extraness doesn't really match her brand anymore.

She's been going for a more refined, subdued vocal the past few years now.

It does creep out every now and then though.

I think Bey?s voice is lower and heavier now than back then
it is more difficult for her to do some of the stuff she used to
but she?s technically a better vocalist now as far as control and placement
and IMO she emotes on ballads better

Beyonce lost a bit of her upper range, the ease of going up there. She's older now so its natural. Still vocally strong tho.

Knew this was coming.  I actually heard from someone that they used pitch correcting mics or SUMN! I waved it off but thinking on it, it's possibly true.  Tamar has LITERALLY never had a good vocal other than this
