Herb.

kinda shits!

there's nothing like getting together and playing mess from the 90's, doing our silly dances....I dunno why , but whenever one of those songs come on...u know which ones im talking about ...those deep cuts, like Mary's mess....or Jagged Edge or something......we come the fuck together and begin SWAYING....and reminiscing  :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop: i dunno why i love that so much. it happened today.

there's such a unity in our shared struggle. and a quiet understanding of one another.

That's my favorite part of the black experience. what's yours?

The black experience?
I put it quotations for a reason
it's what some refer to when it comes to describing a combination of our culture, struggles, etc.

I like unfiltered babershop talk. Its enlightening and hilarious at the same time.

Also the black greek experience. I dont think white frats really understand how different we are from them. They look at frats all the same until we draw the curtain back a bit and then they understand.

Am I the only one who used to (and still does) get nervous sometimes in the barber shop when they get on certain topics? :dead: especially if something gay related appears on TV. it's like ugh here we go. time to feel uncomfortable and awkward :hmph:

But it appears to have been getting better with time. I think more and more heterosexual black men are just accepting mess for what it is....clearly more work to be done in that department but i sense more of an ease.

Well Im from Baltimore so homosexuality has never really been a thing. The gays are gay and you clearly know that. It not as big of a issue as it would be in NYC or LA. Usually if a obviously gay guy comes in talk typically shifts until he leaves lmao.
