Aaliyah wanted to be a star, no different from Brandy.
Besides, there weren?t allegations against him that were known prior to Aaliyah situation. Her uncle was managing R Kelly and in charge of her career. It was a no brainer that he would have her work with a producer he managed.

Her parents seemed like they never wanted the spotlight. Still don?t.
