whew

quee is such a damn mogul

I can see her going down the Diddy/Kanye/Kimora route

Looks like music might hit the back burner

I think she's in a league of her own.
It'll be bigger than anything they have done.

!!! Guys this is a biiiig deal
If she banks off this bye bye label!
She can be independent and bankroll her own mess :dead:
Especially for a brand owner, there aren't any black major house leather/goods owners

QuoteAccording to Women?s Wear Daily (WWD), the Grammy-award winning star has been in secret discussions with LVMH ? the company that owns Dior, Celine, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton ? to launch a luxury house under her name.

If the news is confirmed, then this would mark the first time that LVMH has launched a brand from inception since Christian Lacroix in 1987.

It has also been speculated that the house could be released in tandem with her ninth album, which is expected to be out sometime later this year. Although details about the launch and it?s timing have not yet been learned, WWD reports that the business is expected to span ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories.

The reports suggest that LVMH has already handpicked a number of employees from Louis Vuitton and Celine to work on the project alongside Rihanna, who is said to be extensively involved in product development.

It is understood that the luxury conglomerate started assembling her fashion team about six months ago in Paris, with the project being overseen by Sidney Toledano, chairman and chief executive officer of LVMH Fashion Group.

I'm soooo happy for her, the fashion industry makes BANK off black women, people, culture and fashion but they never benefit from it.
Yh we have tonnes of influencers and designers but no one in HIGH places.
It's only recently Vogue UK has appointed it's first black male editor in chief and Louis Vuitton's lead menswear designer is a black man, Balmain has Olivier.... but black women are absent, Naomi only got her first beauty contract after 30 years in game with Nars because she kept on declining deals that paid her less than white models :dead: Beyonce's last Vogue shoot was shot by the magazine first black photographer ever :uhh: Iman has her make up line which has been around for decades now
Pat Mcgarth's make up line is now a billion-dollar business, Fenty Cosmetics is a huge success...
If this happens Rihanna will be the only black owner of a fashion brand under LVMH with longstanding predominately European houses
Think of the opportunities and work for black creatives

:gorlonfire:
The game will be changed forever
