Both had the same love for their people and desire for change at their core
But some Black people leaned more toward MLK's approach and other towards Malcolm.

I didn't mean to say she's too aggressive by mentioning Malcolm

Just wanted to point out how sometimes approach can make a big difference in who supports you.

For instance: Yes we may have the same core values but, if your way of promoting Black pride is constantly talking down about other races to build Blacks up, that's not really my style and I wouldn't really rally behind that.

And also, how nasty she got with others when they questioned her awareness of her numbers and asked her to justify comparisons that were clearly .... generous.

The way she handled the rebuttals had me going from to very quickly.

Especially considering how reasonable and logical most of them were.

If you don't believe  in your own self worth who will? You can't fault her for thinking highly of herself.

If you're making a bold claim, have your facts in order. Know your numbers.

She should have been hitting them with receipts once they questioned her tea (which probably wouldn't have been questionable to begin with if they weren't inflated).

Instead, it was a silly game of diversions which almost always led up to her just calling someone a boot licking slave out of frustration.

The facts will shut someone up. But that's only if they're in order and ready to fire away.

eh they weren't even interested in negotiating the number. It was a "take this money or you don't get shit" type of deal
