I haven?t listened to any of the nominees so I can?t relally speak to who?s album was better.

Must suck every time a secular puts out an album third Gospel the actual Gospel artists get shafted :dead:

Wasnt tori's album the most successful of the bunch as well?  It was number one for a number of weeks and did the best, i think.  She deserved her mess
Yeah, she had the most first week streams for any gospel album EVER
AND she stayed on top of the Top Gospel Albums chart for over ten weeks
Yea, she deserved her mess
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Smokie is one of my favorite vocalist ever
but King needs to (especially as a Gospel artist) not care about a Grammy
No worship of false idols. F the Shammys

n

When did you start having this stance on the Grammy?s? As much as you bragged about Bey?s awards....

when I realized that they obviously don?t value Black artists as they should. Bey has 23 awards and only like  2 maybe in the general field I had to wake up

Smokie is being petty. With his logic, if Tamela Mann was supposed to do an R&B record, she shouldnt be able to ever be nominated for an R&B grammy. And Taylor Swift who started off as a country artist should not be allowed to be nominated or win in a Pop category.

Furthermore, anyone who knows Tori will know a lot of her music is actually centered in Gospel. Her song Hollow is a song about God (gospel stations didnt play it though hmm). And since the past 2 yrs, Tori has pretty much been a gospel artist working with Lecrae and Mali Music.

As a gospel artist, a post like that is only causing division among gospel artists. As a Christian, he needs to be more cautious of the kind of energy he's putting out there. And Im pretty sure he deleted that IG post AFTER he found out that Tori is actually part black.

Speaking of Koryn, i watched this today

Go to 17 mins and take a gander. I guess she shouldn't have won either.  She ain't as committed to GOSPEL as she should be.  That thinking is not only antiquated but also stupid AF

Koryn Hawthorne should?ve won best Gospel song.
Her song is okay but no
havent heard any of the songs in this category but I agree with this opinion since it disagrees with .betterwiseup?s.

And she was the only nominee who was quick to jump in and agree with Smokie's post. And once again, with Smokie's logic, her version of gospel is not the traditional gospel sound either. Jonathan McReynold and Brian were the only 2 with a more "traditional" sound.

But lets be clear. If Michelle Williams had won a Grammy, Smokie would have nothing to say (even tho most of her content is secular). He's MAINLY fuming because she's a "white" artist.
