She lied a lot here imo. She knows she can get away with it because she know no one from the DC camp is going to acknowledge her existence in order to give a rebuttal.
No way in hell Maffew was paying a stand-in member no 50k a month at that stage in DC's life just to lip sync to LeToya and LaTavia's vocal and awkwardly dance in the background. She was dead set on dropping tidbits to influence people into believing she was soooo coined up before and after the group.

She also says they say she was in the group for significantly longer than the six months that has been publically claimed (it was 4 months actually), because according to her she starts the clock from the time when she actually started rehearsing but earlier she'd said that she only had a 2 weeks rehearsal period to learn everything they did in 10 years before she immediately got thrusted into the group. 4 months and 2 weeks is still "4 months".
