Pam maybe was considered pretty in black households but Gina was considered pretty to executives and that's why she was the lead girl............kinda What this whole video was about. She wasn't making a video based on the opinions of raheem and tyrone

first of all Martin and Tisha actually knew each other prior to the show from Boomerang and House Party and Martin chose her THATS why she was the lead and Pam auditioned at the request of Tisha
But this girl didn't mention what households liked who she was talking about their depictions on the show and how Martin was always dogging her

They joked about her head (and even that was few and far between) but that doesn't mean they questioned her attractiveness. She's never been likened to dogs, horses, or any other animal.  Calling someone out about a "flaw" isn't calling them ugly.  Many people have called rihanna out for having a big forehead that's NOT calling her unattractive

that was ONLY Martin and they went back and forth she called him short, ugly, big ears etc
but still in a few episodes Martin lusted over her
She was not generally perceived as ugly or less attractive

Tichina did an interview a while back for BET I believe, and she knew herself why she always happened to be cast as the funny sidekick, or the loud and ghetto girl, etc. She seemed very aware, which probably helped her in sustaining a good career - by knowing which roles she'd be a shoe-in for and which roles not to even waste time auditioning for.

Martin definitely made a lot of cracks about Pam's appearance, usually comparing her to animals, and always made references to the "buckshots" or "beady beads" under her weave, as if Gina's hair was naturally relaxed or something.

There was definitely underlying colorism in Martin.

Of course there was and anyone with sense gets that
