Yea, u could tell she had an axe to grind.  I was so mad that I didn't pick up on the talking thing at the beginning of the movie.  Lupita was the only tethered that could speak while everyone else grunted and groaned. They were letting us know right away that the bitch was swapped out

I was mad too. Like damn how did I miss that. I noticed it, but couldn't explain it at the time but it made sense.

What are y'all thoughts on the ending where Jason and fake Lupita kinda share that look? Some people say the boy knew it wasn't his mom...some say it was a sign they were both the "tethered". I'm torn.

I didn't even think about that other option. I just assumed it was because he knew his mom was really a tethered.  That actually makes sense

i don't think she was able to. I think once one tethered is trapped down there, the clone can't RISE up a bit without some help or without the other taking their place.
