🔑

none of the new girls come anywhere close to the '90's singers... R&B is screwed...

Coko was expressing EVERYTHING I was feeling while watching this. The only she went a bit too hard on was Queen Naija. Gorl got a lil something about her.

djdjdjdjdj she's the worst one  :dead:

This pointless ass debate

Every generation has both legends and flops who came and went. You fags only remembering and praising the greats doesn't mean that was all that was around back then.

adina howard was essentially a one hit wonder and she could sing... even the one hit wonders in the '90's could sang downe... 💋 SMOOCHES... 🔑

Exactly!

yummy

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The girls used to say the same thing about 2000s R&B now cause y'all hoes grew up around that time you exhalt the 2000s when the 2000s music would always get lashed for filth.

There was an interview Missy Elliott did back in '97 where she flat out said she wanted to release Super Duper Fly as her first single because everything on the radio was sounding the same

Back in 1997   :dead: in the midst of the same "golden era" of R&B everyone loves to drool over

The root of R&B is slow sexual/lovey dovey ballads.

Nobody dragged Anita Baker, Sade, and nem for always cooing over a beat.

Y'all just sound CRAZY

:mmyulost: but when they were cooing over a beat, they had something meaningful to sing about... not 24 seconds or her man is my man and all that trash... 🔑

AND they were actually singing.

I could see H.E.R. being a major success in the future and being a memorable artist tbh

She already has a Grammy under her belt

Yeah everybody in the 90s & 2000s was singing about meaningful stuff. Everybody was really diverse and never sang about anything not meaningful.

Heart wrenching even.
