My aunt is an educator. Luckily she's the director of a daycare so there's less of a concern there. But if she were in that type of setting I'd be all for her having protection in this day we're living in.

Considering how "normal" it has become for students to begin shooting up classrooms for random reasons, I can kinda see why teachers may want protection. And this also protects students more.

School shootings have become so common now that we almost shrug when it goes down. I don't think we should be TOO surprised this is happening.

But I can see why the idea of it all makes people cringe. It just seems...weird.

I'm almost certain that the lion's share of shootings in schools will continue to come from the students and not the teachers, though.

that may be true, but my biggest concern are these undercover racists getting fed up and feeling threatened by Tyrone and the girls

I guarantee we'll see an uptick in teacher on student violence (especially in that hell hole of a state) and what they need to be focusing on is reducing violence and shootings altogether.

I really dont see teachers and their lil hand guns being a match for these assault rifles either. It may give them the feeling of security, but they aren't trained for that at the end of the day. They're underpaid and overworked enough as it is.

Give them weapons, and i just ... eek, idk.

Add to that, the fact that in most school shooting scenarios most of the first responding officers are almost always seriously hurt/killed by the gunman, I don't see how a teacher much less trained and much less prepared can even make a fucking difference.

This is a nightmare waiting to happen. Some student is gonna fuck around the wrong teacher and get blown the fuck away. The US is absolute SHIT.
