Bi-racial individuals need representation in media
which is what Black-ish is about Rainbow which is Tracee's character is bi-racial, and has 3 light skinned kids who are 25% white

nnnnn!!!! what don't people get about Black - ISH

kinda black, kinda not.

you're mixed, so you're ...... kinda black, kinda not?

Damn same thing huh

I don't think that's exactly what they meant by black-ish. The kids are only a quarter white, which makes them black in the eyes of society. They are saying he has this black family that is growing up in a white world, so they are very assimilated. They act white, aren't always aware of things in black culture, so the dad is always trying to teach them.

that's exactly how I understand the show bby, I watch it. I probably could have clarified

L0NZ.

and mixed people are largely just seen as Black by society so they fit into our understanding of Black-ish...... making Mixed-ish unnecessary

b7

That was a great explanation of the show but Black-ish honestly covers ALL of that and more

just focus a couple more episodes on the topic and be done with it. The plight of mixed kids ain't gonna fly beyond 1 season :kii: I'm sorry

oph.

u gors dont even know the topics THIS show will be covering to say that they will be the same as the ones covered on black-ish

sfffffffdd just say you don't use. no need to give a "reason" bbys

FRANCE

The trailer is trash. I dont use.

Not them having a bunch of angry darkie kids hating on her for being mixed

s

Not interested

It does happen a lot though

LOONA.

Eh

If you look at the Grapevine or any modern day panel discussions with black ppl speaking on race related issues they always make it a point to separate mixed people from black people. This generation seems to be over the one drop rule and inclusive mess. Black people, especially black women are over curly hair light brights "representing" them. The gurs have kinda adapted a new mindset.

this. I mean Mariah, Drake, J Cole, Halle Berry
They are all seen as BLACK and all in different shades but with White parents, just like Rainbow on this show.
This is sounding like when Keyshia was "I'm biracial!"
