Beyonce gets great reviews at the time of release, but I don't know how well her albums age.  Lemonade didn't age well for me.

Beychella may end up being her magnum opus, and that's largely because it is performance-based.

I love her, but she doesn't have classic songs in the same way Vision of Love or We Belong Together are heartfelt classics.  Even Fantasy or All I Want for Christmas are lighthearted classics.  The only Bey song on that caliber is... Single Ladies?  Crazy in Love?

Maybe because the industry is different and Bey has chosen to be a visual album artist known for "projects" instead of singles.  Whereas Mariah's #1's alone make a great album because she has classic singles.  On top of better albums than Bey.

Now, performing is Bey all the way.

Mariah Hands doen. I haven't heard Bey do a record like Breakdown! The way its structured and put together  :stressed:

:gorlonfire:

And that staccato rap-sing style Bey is known for was pioneered by Queen Mariah.

Sigh......
Not calling 'We Belong Together" a classic and dismissing "Irreplaceable". Just say you dont like the girl and cut the shit.

Whichever point you consider their prime (Beyonce may arguably still be in hers), who do you prefer musically?

This isn't a real question right?  :kii:

this is harder than I thought. They're about even for me.
i honestly don't believe you babe
You dont know me very well at all babe.
There are some MC songs that are completely unlistenable to me like "Up Out my Face" and then Bey has some too like "Start Over"
and her first 2 albums are definitely mostly pop fluff. Now its all mostly smooth and easy listening doesnt make it better. See.

They also have records where Im like.. this is my favourite song of all time. So... yea.
Yea yea yea

Pick one hun.
:ohwow:

I know it's Mariah. Never seen u go up for beys music the way do MC on here
I do and did. At one point some complained I made too many Bey threads.
i know u stan them equally

But musically ..  idk. Of course i have to take ur word for it tho

Beyoncé is currently in her prime. So depending what on what happens with her next project, we shall see...

Her next project will be somewhere in Africa dancing with a tribe claiming how she wrote on a rock and made a whole album out of it
Whatever she does next it'll surely be more awarded, praised more than anyone you go up for.

Hows that? good enough for ME. lmao!

My name isn't in the title of this thread love.

Stay focused bitch!!! I know you feeling a bit defeated but don't lose hope hoe!!! Go get em!!!!
