There's way too much emphasis being placed on ballads. Ballads are out. Who is releasing or finding success with ballads outside of Adele?

Beyonce has been out since 2003.  Plenty of time to make classic ballads.
Especially for someone largely considered the vocalist of her generation.

It's odd.

Plus, 'riah has classic cute bops, too.  Fantasy with ODB, and Honey.   

Emotions is a classic, too.

Ballads were dead then. I agree Mariah has a better catalog, but it's not fair to reference ballads, Beyonce has been working in a different musical climate, only records post-2003 should be considered. Making this mostly a battle of urban bops.
