LOONA.

Releasing flop album after flop album isn't being consistent.

And no it isn't the same. Rih's career is 50x bigger than Chris.

I was comparing Rih to Justin and Usher.

Rihanna never sold as much as their prime albums but she is a much bigger artist than them both.

He was on his way to becoming a superstar. Could have been the next MJ.

fjffghhhh boy

He wouldn't have even gotten Usher/Justin T level.

ok maybe MJ was a bit dramatic but do y'all not remember how big he was at one point :guys:

He was the Biggest artist of 2008

He was def coming for JT & Usher tbhon

Where was he coming for Justin when his first two albums sold more in the US than Chris's first two sold worldwide? And he definitely wasn't seeing anything close to Confessions, My Way or 8701

He had a period where he was successful/popular but that was it.

Zero iconic songs/albums, no memorable performances or prestigious awards. What will he be remembered for when he retires..."Run It"

:ummwhat:
erm...

First of all, I never said anything about him reaching their peaks, I was suggesting that he was coming for them at that point in time. He definitely had overtaken Usher by 2008, & this can be seen in the lists i posted earlier.

He was increasing in popularity with each year until he lashed Rih in that damn Lambo. Endorsement deals, TV appearances, award wins, hit singles, hit albums... he was slaying and everyone loved him :dead:

Also, not sure why you're prioritizing album sales like this anyway. Bey doesn't have a confessions and she still became bigger than Usher :ummwhat:  How many artists had albums sell as much as usher's 90's/00's albums in the mid-late 00's, anyway? :diddraispoot:

As far as what he'll be remembered for... we all know that when he dies, he'll be hailed as this great performer.

He has several memorable hits as well

Yo
Look at Me Now
Loyal
Run It!
With You
No Air
New Flame

Are all urban staples

not even counting his feature messes. The niggers already consider him legendary

like... literally one of the last important R&B artists
I mostly agree except he had not quite overtaken Ush in 2008
Here I Stand sold over a million just like Exclusive and Love In This Club was a #1 smash. Forever, No Air, With You didn't do it

He could been even further than this

Chris is FULL of fucking talent. It's crazy.

Shame that he couldn't keep his hands to himself. But then again his demons could be what contributes to his musical genius/personality.
Period. He is the most amazing male performer!

nice

Exclusive sold 2 million and Kiss Kiss was also a #1 smash...

No Air was bigger than Love In This Club as well despite not going #1

Only reason usher managed to get a second hit that era was Bey & Lil Wayne. It was a monstrous decline from confessions

Rihanna never sold as much as their prime albums but she is a much bigger artist than them both.

She didn't need to

She has albums that have sold 7,8,9 million worldwide. She has standouts eras and albums, memorable/iconic records that will stand the test of time, prestigious awards, songs that are recognized and referenced by reputable academies and publications, tours that have grosses hundreds of millions, all types of moments in pop culture etc etc

You can actually debate Rih's career against Usher's or Justin's

You can't with Chris
