- Jean has powers suppressed by Professor X
- Jean is exposed to a solar flare in space which unlocks her full power
- The Phoenix is Born
- Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club try to turn Jean/The Phoenix
- They try to turn her against the X-Men
- After a few fights her powers overwhelm her
- She becomes Dark Phoenix
- Dark Phoenix fucks up everything and must be stopped
