Did he pull that scene out of his fucking ass?
Was he trying to save face by re-branding Jamal bc of all this backlash (by dumb niggers) about the show being "too gay"?
Is he trying to say that sexuality is fluid?
Is he trying to say being gay is a choice?
Is he trying to say that Jamal is confused/Bi/DL, reinforcing more black gay stereotypes?

Honestly promoting the idea that sexuality is fluid is a great thing. That is much more inclusive. The LGBT thing is really divisive and comes across as straight people vs sexual deviants.

I personally have never seen it for people uniting and creating a community centered around a sexual preference.
