Will most likely become the longest running #1 song in history. He is at 12 weeks now.

No artist/song has been able to dethrone the smash.

:ohwow:

Not Taylor, Ed, Justin, Katy, Drake...

I know y'all are happy this lil black boy is seeing success but this is probably THEE sign of the times. Fuckin ew.

:ohwow:

This elite fucking club.

Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, dominates the Billboard Hot 100 for a 12th week. The single is just the 20th in the Hot 100's six-decade history to reign for at least that long...

:ohwow:
Next week, it will be one of only 12 songs to spend 13 weeks or more at #1.

I just don't think it's good enough for all this mess. I'm comparing it to the actual good SONGS that have spent this amount of time at #1. It's just my opinion and clearly somebody likes this trap, gimmicky, song that's about nothing.

What are Uptown Funk and Despacito about?

You have to understand that it's a streaming world now and honestly, 9/10 everyone will like it because it's different, fun, very memorable, and kids love it. It really makes a lot of sense because he is young, black, a lot of energy and people look at him and it's like fresh air, new genre of music people never heard. Trap with country and a twist of  some pop and r&b.
