I like these performances. Its def a step in the right direction. New songs she's never performed live before on stage and some new choreo. The men dont bother me as much here especially since they dont got a mic in their hands. She did good.

She did good. This the first time she had her dancers back in awhile and it's gonna get better!  Thank GOD she brought the dancers. She can give vocal on the slow songs but want her to kill it with upbeat songs!

I was there!!!! I got there late but she did a GREAT job even tho the sound wasn't the greatest. I really liked that her stylist had her n the MARATHON fit repping Nipsey Hussle.

Dat part

lovechild

it's like really obvious when she's lipping . Like someone said it's too studio like but it's to the point where I realize her voice is fragile and I don't even care because her pre records are stunning. I don't care for background singers because Brandy's shit is so complex I think it's genius that she has recorded new backs for the show that give you that BRANDY surround sound feel .

not saying this show was perfect but she definitely has improved so much and it gave me joy watching it . Tbh lately I'm usually cringing and just hoping she does a decent job  and looks ok but I'm proud of her with this show . I think she obviously knows it's where she's from and a lot of her family and peers are there so she puts in more effort . The outfit bothered me at first but now that I see its Marathon then it's not so bad! I feel like Chris had a lot to do with this show and I feel like it should stay that way!  It felt so much BIGGER!!

Good Morning Gorgeous

I would prefer to see Brandy in an Ledisi type of intimate setting. No dancers...no frills...just her, live band, background vocalists, and a mic. Give me an acoustic setting with her LIVE vocals any day!  :gorlonfire:

For sure but let's be honest . Brandy said so herself that her voice is fragile . When was the last time she didn't sound hoarse on stage ? A whole show of that Brandy would sound a mess . Personally I can tell when Brandy is singing live and 9/10 for me it's way raspy and borderline sounds like her voice is about to leave.  She's not the best dancer but I love that she pushes herself !

That's normal. All artists vocals become strained, but it's all about your carefully selected set list. If she was in an intimate setting without the extra frills (i.e. dancing, larger setting, etc.) she would not have to strain her vocals as much. I've never seen a vocalist having to strain or lip in an intimate setting...it's just easier on them.

Sovereign.

This was a step in the right direction. She has to maintain consistent for it all to come together.
