Mo'nique's gripe with Oprah involves her sense of morality, not her obligations.

You have to understand that she's not saying, "Oprah should have called me first. Doesn't she know that's standard rules?"

She's saying, "Wow she DID call me and spoke to me for a long time before she even had my brother on the show, let me know about my brother being on there, we had a whole heart-to-heart, but she failed to mention that my entire family would be on her show."

There's a difference. It's understandable that she'd ask the question, "Why didn't you mention that you'd have my whole mother on there while we were chatting it up about our parents for hours?"

And ask, "Did it not cross your mind to say, 'Oh yeah girl by the way I'm having your mom on the show lol' as we were having that in depth conversation about our mothers?"

It's a very reasonable question to ask, and it's very reasonable to even assume that Oprah was a bit underhanded with how she approached this.

To say, "Oprah ain't gotta do SHIT" is really simplifying things. Like, really simplifying things.

Ack

Scott.

It's like I get both Vonc and Afro's points. Idk.

Oprah was dead ass WRONG. She should've talked to Mo especially since her mother and father were coming on. They had been talking on the phone but oprah didn't even mention it

oprah didn't have to talk to monique about shit. she made monique aware that the brother would be on  those are HIS parents too. and he had every right to bring and be there with them. period.

Yes she should've Oprah and Mo had been communicating and building some what of a relationship so yes she owed her that

Mo may not be on good terms with her mother but she still didn't want the world to see her looking like dat.

no she shouldn't have. first off who said they were building a friendship? gonna need op' to chime in on that one. oprah didn't and doesn't owe monique shit. how ya'll know he ain't just show up to the studio with his parents? what was op' supposed to do? cancel the show? ssss

listen guys. monique has all these issues with all these people and y'all really believe it's EVERYBODY'S fault but hers???

assssddddddddddddddddd plea

Sorry but I'm not moved by any of this.  Oprah doesn't need to tell her who she's having on her show. They weren't fckn FRIENDS and she didn't owe her that.  She probably only asked about the brother because the brother violated her. The parents are fair game and get to tell their story too....... even if u don't want them to.  Imagine if  every celebrity got to decide who gets to speak in regards to them :dead:

Yeah i dont think you would appreciate her bringing ur mom and dad on there to explain about the black spasm living in their basement and the daddy that never gave a flying fuck but still punches on ignoring his son anyhow

Or how the tar rats low self esteem turned him into a bitter pessimist and material chaser to avoid the self hate he has inside

Hope she airs that eppisode with no care to ur feelings as well

Shut up dyke

Are we still talking about this?  :dead:
I'm sorry but Oprah doesn't need to run her guest list by you :plzstop:

AT ALL

and that boy had every right to bring HIS parents to the show with him

this bitch really does have delusions of grandeur
PERIOD! This is EXACTLY what i was thinking.  I'm sorry but  :kii:
MY momma
U don't get to tell them that they can't speak because u dont agree with their version of events.  If u wanted to disagree then she gave u the opportunity to do that and u declined.  Oprah at the end of the day is a JOURNALIST and journalist need to remain impartial.  Her calling asking what she felt about the Brother being on was TOO MUCH tbcfh. Just because she empathizes and sympathizes with u doesn't mean she abandons her professionalism. Y'all in here speaking on some emotional shit. Talking bout "she knew her story". These hoes weren't BFFs. She doesnt owe monique a fckn THING. Like......HUH!?!?  :plzstop:

Yeah all that would be correct and appropriate except that most of the show was about Monique and not her brother. She exploited Monique using her family. Periodt.

DrewBabyLove

If she kept Monique name and story out of the show, that would have been a different thing, but she fucking didn't and she's fucking wrong.
