I honestly see why he was fired.

It's outrageous to think he was laughing at killing the girl, but I'm pretty sure that the most basic responsibility of his job is to stay alert.

He was yelling out the window, giving peace signs to his homies, waving at his fans as the train struck and killed the girl.

It's not his fault that she decided to go on the tracks, but I'm sure in reviewing that tape they decided that his behavior couldn't be excused. There's just no way what I saw could be seen as professional or by-the-book.

If I were on a train I'd want to know that the conductor had his eyes on the tracks in front of him at all times.

And if the train was pulling into the station to stop, the speed would have been slowed down as it enters the stop.

Why was he not paying attention as he entered a space where riders would be present?

I was assuming he was midway through a trip or something, not approaching a damn station. I def see why he was fired now.

That's not saying he would have been able to stop it, but his eyes should have been on the damn station, not his homies.

What are you talking about? He was already slowing down to enter the stop area. He was going the speed and doing what he was supposed to do. The CTA doesn't stop the 1st car at the beginning of the railing platform and depending on the platform he may had some distance

also this. The bitch ran TOWARDS the train........on top of already entering the tracks which is illegal. I work closely with the Chicago Transit Authority and they are in a union and pay union dues, just for shit like this. People have lost their jobs and got them back for some of the craziest reasons. This man was a 13 yr employee with a clear record. I see him getting his mess BACK

These people do summa the wildest shit, fired, and be RIGHT tf back at work......... and receiving money for the time they didn't work.  This one chick was legit leaving work on her break and going downtown stealing from these high end ass dept stores and coming back to work. They fired this bitch and I looked up and month later this bitch was stomping thru in her uniform like
