A lot of the singers I love are very talented artist. I notice that a lot of my favorite artists are very good songwriters, storytellers, etc. who also happen to have beautiful voices. It's one thing to be a good singer but another thing to hone a craft and paint images with your voice. Nancy Wilson is perfect example.

Sarah Vaughan moves me in the same way

Sarah will always and forever be in my top. A blueprint for skill, style and passion. Her vibrato and minor note shifts GAG me. Her lower register be so healthy and strong and as she works her way up to the head and/chest voice she flies.

Lalah is KNOWN to be toxic. She always had a sense of entitlement because of her father, but the industry showed her time and time again why it is so imperative for an artist to pay their dues. There are so many artists who are BEYOND talented, but destroyed any possibility of being a household name. It's sad.
