The industry is so boring now

Award shows used to be one of the few places you could see your favorite celebs outside of music videos and regular interviews, but social media pretty much washed any mystery or allure behind most of them. The only artist I know who can still make an award show feel like an event is Bey and that's mainly because she came up in that era and knows how to maintain some sort of enigma.

Award shows in general are just blah as fck. Haven't been entertained by one in years.   

Coincides with the decline in music, tbh.

Plus, there aren't a bunch of BIG celebrities the way there used to be in the 80's-00's.  Today's celebrities are too accessible due to social media.

This is honestly why most people give artists so little now. And why superstars will not be birthed on the level of Whitney, Mike, etc... anymore.

i honestly don't give a damn about this shit anymore. if i like a new artist i will treat them with caution because no doubt they'll disappear by album 2

a few vets i will follow regardless. and with streaming it's opened my ears to decades of music i never would've listened to otherwise

these award shows don't mean a thing and the people who are attending and grooving out in the audience are basic and corny as fuck
