If it IS a race thing
Wouldn't it make sense that Adele would be slaying?
She's catering to her racial demographic :dead:
Which happens to have the largest population

But I feel like RnB artists have been trying to cater to different demographics and ultimately failed.
Look at Usher and Chris :dead:
gave up RnB imo to pursue a bigger crossovers and now Usher is shelved and Chris is begging for pre-orders
sTank and Dry are fighting
Jeremih didn't even promo :dead:

And even tho RnB and Hip-Hop are close, they're not the same musical demographic, it's a mix of races :dead:
so a lot of the features these RnB artists thought were helping them all these years were really hurting them imo
"Oh you want a hit single, throw a rapper on it!" (Bey DIL)

If it's a race thing then maybe we should care about the EBT awards and Soul Train awards, but.... our biggest black stars don't even take those awards serious :dead:

RnB artist have to get back to the Usher Confessions era, the last true RnB era imo
He put his all into RnB music and gave an actual ALBUM. Not scrambling for a feat here or a hot producer there. And cater to THEIR demographic, which is mostly PoC. And voila! He went diamond.

And don't get me wrong there are some whites that like RnB too, but don't market to Susie and think she's gonna buy your alberm.
she's just gonna wait until Nick Jonas or Justin Bieber takes your sound and go buy that :dead:

It just made me think why were we squabbling over Bey and Rih being 24 and 26 on that list when Trailor and 'Dele were perched :plzstop:

Zankou.

yummy

I'm sick of this topic. Just focus on putting out what you feel is great music and secure some sort of touring power.

Give me the good music!

Stop worrying about who snubbed you or why Adele is selling. Just put out your music for your fans :dead:

In the words of Rihanna, "Good luck booking that stage you speak of."

No promoter is going to want to book any artist that can only open with 20k.And it's only getting worse.
