The grammy voters for R&B arent the same voters for Best Pop Song so its dont matter about her white fans. Her and Daniel won the grammy last year. When u look at the winners of the past 5 yrs, Lizzo isnt even on the same level. If it was for a different song, maybe, but Im honestly not convinced that her song is any competition at all. Couldve Been sounds like a Grammy winning song for that category over that by far.

All of the songs nominated in this category are incredible in their own way. Lizzo's isn't a single I don't think, and so I'm not worried about her for this one. Role Some Mo looks like the obvious favourite, nominated for best R&B Performance, Best R&B song and Best R&B album. Brandy is famously nominated in this category. Daniel won last year so it would be great to see him and Brandy bring it home this year. The song by H.E.R. has been out for a long time already - posted to YouTube mid 2018 so I don't see it as a threat much either. Anderson.Paak is also nominated for best R&B album along with this one, but again the song nominated isn't even a single so it doesn't worry me too much.
