I agree. My biggest issue with K is that she seems to be confused which lane she belongs in.

This is my issue with her!!! I was ready to stan for "The Rain" and then I heard all that damn melodyne and auto tune when it wasn't even needed. She always uses it in a way that serves no purpose.

In my opinion, I think there are just different factions of R&B now. The  singers now aren't really singing down like they used to. It's a little more laxed on the vocals and more geared towards a melody or vibe. The era of the Toni's, Faith's Kelly Price etc. is kind of  not what is being put out anymore.

She isn't confused she has a contract to fulfill for Atlantic which is why she has to release this r&b album

She wasn't just talking bout females however if you were to put the gors on one album you wouldn't be able to tell some of them apart.
