My aunt had systemic lupus the worse form of it can cause systemic organ failure. As far as her outer appearance her hair did come out and sometimes she would get butterfly rashes but those were just flare ups.

The steroids do blow you up however fried catfish, chicken nuggets and 4 loko do as well
