Singing the simple notes of the 1st verse of I Thought is not harder than singing FR in full live. Lol. C'mon now Rig. Bran herself said theres no way she would sing it in the original key due to how tough it is.

This was really nice. She stayed in her bag, and did just enough. It still amazes me how her tone can be so smoky, but she sings so smoothly.

I don't think she trusts her voice live to even sing Have You Ever these days...  I've never really claimed that title for her or anyone. It's cute but that's a lot of pressure. I don't think she really wants the title either.

Brandy has a delicate voice. I mean, it changes in tone and texture so often over the years. Literally, every album her voice changes. Which is why I give her a pass sometimes when she pre-records cause if she sang live all the time, her voice could've been shot. Some artists' voice naturally arent as delicate - they can smoke, drink, dont do vocal lessons and still show up and slay. And some will do the total opposite and struggle to maintain their voice at its peak. Plus she's in her 40s now. So the fact that she still has her voice and its in amazing shape still is a blessing by itself. It'd be unfair for me to expect her to be SLAYIN all the time when a lot of female vocalists voice got shot by that age.
